Today is a bittersweet day. Back home in Alabama, some friends and family are preparing to launch our young people into the next phase of this journey we call life, while others prepare to lay a loved one to rest who has completed her journey on this side. Fortunately, we can take comfort in the knowledge that this woman has fought the good fight and she has finished her course successfully.
Every day on this earth is a gift from God and it is the responsibility of each and every one of us to make use of it. Each new day is a new opportunity to be an example for others to follow; a chance to do better, to be better than we were the day before.
To all the young graduates out there, I implore you to go for your dreams and strive to be all you were made to be. Dare to be great!

No matter what happened today, disappointments, failures, or setbacks; tomorrow is a new day and a new opportunity to do better, to be better, and possibly get it right. Rest well tonight and know that God is still in control and working things out for your good whether you realize it or not.
The great thing about it is that even if your faith is weak and you have doubts, He is still in control and He wants what's best for you. How much simpler would our lives be if we didn't waste so much time stressing over things that are out of our control (like the past). God's got you!
