Last month was a turnover. I started running again, I worked out about three times a week and I ate what ever I wanted and I gained weight. This month's goal is to settle into a manageable routine incorporating running and Camp classes. I'm on my way to reaching my goals. because I'm 53 and fabulous!

So I finished my challenge on Saturday, May 28. I had to weigh out two days early. Not that it made much of a difference. I did not lose 20 pounds but I did lose 15 pounds and I am excited about that. I realize this journey is not a sprint, but a marathon and I am excited to see where it takes me.
I love food, and fortunately, I also love to exercise, I have made many gains in my fitness level and that is priceless. This week I have been on a quest to indulge in all of the foods I have deprived myself of during the last six weeks, but I have also run farther this week than I have in the last six weeks. Next week I will settle back into my routine and make good diet choices while allowing myself to enjoy foods that I love.
I thank God for allowing me to experience this process. Everyone has to decide for themselves what is important to them and what their goals are. As for me, I am winning!

I am on my way to getting back to a healthy me. I know that my life is a gift from God and I am not going to squander it by sitting back and allowing it to slide by. I am exercising, I am eating healthier, and I am pushing myself to do things I wasn't sure this 53 year old body could do.
